PERSONAL INVITATION, from me to you. This Fri-Sat-Sun, Visual Effects legend Douglas Trumbull is at Seattle Cinerama, screening several of his works. Mr. Trumbull did effects for Stanley Kubrick and Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott and Robert Wise, in such epic films as 2001 - A Space Odyssey, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, Blade Runner, and the original Star Trek. He didnt just make movies look insanely great, Mr. Trumbull produced and directed the amazing Silent Running, and Brainstorm. He even invented his own movie FORMATS (Showscan was 70mm at 60 frames per second! Not like a movie or video - Like looking out a window!) Now he has a NEW format (4k - 3D - 120 frames per second!), and a new movie (UFOTOG), shot in it! Several of his movies screen this weekend, all with Q&A afterward. Ask Mr. Trumbull anything!
