PERUS VULNERABILITY: is defined by the lack of viable economic opportunities which funnel into the high poverty and low education rates. Coercion and forced labor in gold mining, logging, agriculture, and domestic services are intersected with deceptive recruitment and debt bondage. They are often indebted to mining camps because of the cost of transportation, and cannot escape because of the remoteness of camps.
