PESACH JOURNEY ******* R25,950 (7 Seats Still Available) Departure 10 April 2014 – 21 April 2014Final Itinerary Day 1: Departure from Johannesburg – (Friday - 11 April 2014) Departure Time: 14:20 Johannesburg South Africa Get enough rest on the flight and ensure you have packed on overnight bag for your flight ahead. Day 2: (Saturday - 12 April 2014) Arrival Tel Aviv, Ein Karem , Abu Gosh, Jaffa After arrival in Tel Aviv, we are warmly welcomed and will start our spiritual journey to Jerusalem. We take our journey to Ein Kerem a pilgrimage site where John the Baptist was born. Next we will have a visit to the village of Abu Gosh, it was known in Biblical Times as Kiryat Yearim, and was aceremonial center where the Ark of the Covenant was placed. We continue our to Old Jaffa the oldest port city in the world. We enjoy Shabbat together Meals: Dinner. Overnight: Tel Aviv Day 3: (Sunday 13 April 2014) Caesarea Maritima; Mt. Carmel (Muhraka); Jezreel, Megiddo Valley; Today is a day of rest and free time to spend on the beach of Tel Aviv. Those who would like to join into a Bible Study are welcome to join in or just enjoy the relaxing time on your own. Meals: Breakfast and Dinner. Overnight: Tel Aviv Day 4: (Monday 14 April 2014) We take our journey along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea, where Gentiles first heard the Good News from Peter and were baptized. We’ll see the Roman Amphitheatre, hippodrome, a film on history and remains of this famous port city, and aqueduct, and then journey on to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged King Ahab and the prophets of Baal. Next we travel through the Jezreel Valley to Megiddo, the Armageddon Battlefield, where archaeologists have unearthed 20 levels of civilization. We will have dinner and overnight lodging for the next two nights in the Tiberias area on the Sea of Galilee. Meals: Breakfast and Dinner. Overnight: Tiberius Day 5: (Tuesday 15 April 2014) Banias, Caesarea Philippi, Mount of the Beatitudes, Tabgha, Capernaum, Jesus Boat, Boat Ride A very early morning drive through the hills of Galilee continuing toward Tiberius for a spectacular view of the northern Sea of Galilee allowing for an excellent time of teaching on the region of Yeshua ministry. . Next we view the Golan Heights and visit Banias (ancient Caesarea Philipi), here we learn about Israel who fell to the depths of pagan worship and Caesarea Philippi which is also the site of Peter’s confession. We travel on to the Mount of the Beatitudes the site of the Sermon on the Mount and for a beautiful view of the entire Galilee. We visit Tabgha the site of the multiplication of loaves and fishes. Next we travel to two valuable northern sites emphasizing the loss of Gods blessing on Israel. Dan is where the children of Capernaum formed what has been called the evangelical triangle, because most of Yeshua’ miracles in Galilee were performed in these cities. The highlight of the day is when we visit the Jesus Boat and end our day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee Meals: Breakfast and Dinner. Overnight: Tiberius Day 6: (Wednesday 16 April 2014) Jordan Valey, Judean Desert, Dead sea Ahavah Minerals, Masada, Ein Gedi, Dead Sea We start our day through the Jordan Valey and the Judean desert, Next we visit the Dead Sea Minerals Factory before we make our way to Masada for a Cable car ride to the mountain top fortress of Masada. Here our guide will treat us to the history of the famous zealot stand Afterwards we proceed to Ein Gedi, Spring of the Goat, an oasis on the western shore of the Dead Sea. Because of its warm climate and abundant supply of water, the site developed a reputation for its fragrant plants and date palm groves. This is where King David hid from Saul, and where God defeated the enemies of the Israelites by praise and worship led by King Jehoshaphat. Our day ends with a relaxing float in the Dead Sea. This is the saltiest body of water on earth and has been said to have healing affects on the body. Meals: Breakfast and Dinner. Overnight: Jerusalem Day 7 : (Thursday 17 April 2014) Pools of Bethsaida, Old City, St. Anne, Stations of the Cross Last Supper Room, King David Tomb, Caiaphas House – Temple Institute, Jerusalem Night Show Our Journey begins with our first visit to the Pool of Bethesda and continue through the Old City to St. Anne Church. We will walk along the 14 Stations of the Cross - the Via Dolorosa, to visit the Judgment Hall of Pilate all the way to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matt. 27. 33- 57, 28.10). Mt. Zion and worship in the Upper Room (Luke 22) - the traditional site where Yeshua instituted the Lord’s Supper and where later Thomas cried, My Lord and my God”. Visit the Tomb of King David and walk through the historic Jewish Quarter with our last visit to Peter in Galicantu. Open Market Mahane Yehuda, After dinner we visit the Jerusalem Light Show and relax. Meals: Dinner and Overnight: Jerusalem Day 8 : (Friday 18 April 2014) Yad Vashem Mount of Olives – Panoramic view, Dominus Flevit, Palm Sunday road ,Garden of Gethsemane, Stations of the cross , The Menorah and Western Wall Our Journey start with Yad Vashem and then we start our journey where Yeshua walked and head to the top of the Mount of Olives. (Acts 1). The Mount of Olives is a breathtaking view of the city across the Kidron Valley to the Eastern Gate where the Prince of Peace will enter (Ezekiel 44). We will pass by Pater Noster Church and Dominus Flevit where “the Lord wept” as he beheld the Holy City. We will take the Palm Sunday Road down to the Garden of Gethsemane where we will see 2,000 year old olive trees that date back to the time of Yeshua. We visit the grotto of the Agony. Drive to Dung Gate to enter the old city of Jerusalem. Walking tour with a view of the Wailing Wall and the Mosques of Al Aksa and the Dome of the Rock. Continue walking to the church of St. Anne with the Pool of Bethesda. We follow the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa). We visit the Western Wall as Jerusalem prepares for the beginning of the Shabbat we will join in prayer at the Western Wall. The climax of our afternoon is when we visit the Garden Tomb, where we will celebrate the Resurrection with a time of prayer (Luke 23) before we end our evening with a farewell dinner and a midnight – early morning flight home.
