PET RESCUE WISHING YOU A HAPPY & HEALTHY 2015 As 2014 draws to a close, we reflect on our accomplishments for the year and celebrate the lives of each and every cat and dog we were able to help. We are proud of the work we have done and are extremely grateful to YOU, our supporters! Because of your generosity, more than 500 cats and dogs will be ringing in 2015 in their new homes! Not only did we rescue hundreds of animals, we provided veterinary clinic services for more than 1,000 dogs and cats plus 7 rabbits. We also provided specialty vet care for animals like Miley, who needed emergency surgery for a ruptured eye ulcer. We helped out local rescues and shelters by spaying/neutering nearly 450 of their cats and dogs. And we prevented thousands more pregnancies through our TNR program, neutering more than 300 outdoor cats. John Mara & Mayor Ron Belmont cut the ribbon at our Open House Our new clinic space Jacob & Blake Luke Miley Charlie Trixie Highlights for 2014 included: We held an Open House in July at the completion of Phase I of the renovation of our new petquarters. This happy, warm space is now the heart of Pet Rescue, for our dogs, clinic and volunteers. In 2015 we hope to welcome our cats into their new quarters in Phase II of the renovation. Our annual Gala and Hounds on the Sound fundraisers were great successes. Our rescues strutted the runway with NY Giants greats in a Bloomingdales fashion show - Luke stole the show with Amani Toomer. Our volunteers teamed up with Home Depot to build shelters for outdoor cats. We partnered with Animal Care & Control in NYC under the New Hope Program to give even more unwanted dogs, like Blake, a second chance. One of our rescue dogs, Charlie, joined the Paws of War program and was featured on Channel 12 News. He will be trained and paired with a veteran suffering from the emotional effects of war to provide him with therapeutic, unconditional love. Buttercup was rescued from a puppy mill and became Trixie, a Broadway star who is currently appearing in Bullets Over Broadway. None of our work would have been possible without you - our wonderful friends, supporters and volunteers. Your generosity is vital to help us plan and fund our programs for the upcoming year. Together we can make a difference in the lives of many more cats and dogs in 2015. Our very best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year filled with furry hugs and slobbery kisses. PET RESCUE, P.O.
