PET SAVERS’ Woof Walk 2013 Set for October 5th Sewell, NJ – Ready to get your feet – and paws – in motion? PET SAVERS’ popular fall dog walk event, Woof Walk, is set for Sunday, October 5th at James Atkinson Park in Sewell. Now in its six year, this fun-filled event, sponsored by PET SAVERS, Inc. -- a Gloucester County-based non-profit that works for the betterment of area companion animals – the 1K Woof Walk is open to pooches and people of all ages. Money raised from the event will go toward funding dog training for pups adopted from the Gloucester County Animal Shelter. The event – which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- will be held Sunday, October 5th (with a rain date of October 12th) at James Atkinson Park (also known as Bethel Mill Park), 138 Bethel Mill Road in Sewell, NJ. Registration for the walk is from 11 to 11:30 a.m., with the Woof Walk held from 11:30 to noon. With registration fee includes a free picture of your proof by photographer Jane Lueder, with a complimentary Halloween frame. You will also receive a doggie bag filled with treats and a dog toy for your furry friend. Woof Walk 2014 will feature music, vendors, basket auction, a bake sale, a 50/50 raffle, Halloween pet costume contests, a dog race contest and prizes for the largest donations to PET SAVERS. The Mantua Township Fire Department will arrive with a truck at 1 p.m. and the Township’s Police Department will provide a K9 demo at 12:30 p.m. You can register online at petsaversnj.org via Pay Pal .
