PETALUMA, CA: Hunky and Dory are bonded older pals who we shared just recently. They are still looking for a home in their hometown area, which was stated very clearly in their original post. Some shelters transport and some do not; one is not better than another. Hunky and Dory are *seriously* looking for their home, so we will ask for a reshare for these two because the original post somehow went off course. We need to address the problem of not wasting shelter staff/volunteer time, as well intentioned as some emails/calls are, we need the information given by the shelters to be read fully and ONLY contact if you fit the criteria and then still have a few questions. This is not being harsh, this is a matter of efficiency for animal in need. The shelter wrote, Thank you for the follow up. Everyone at the shelter was very excited about the amount of attention they received. Unfortunately, we did not receive any serious inquiries. (We had someone email from [abroad], wondering how we could ship them to her! We cant ship them [abroad].) As we said, we are grateful to the good intentions. But realistically it is not going to happen when shelter policy is that adoptions must happen in person. Please be considerate of such policies.
