That whereas Ingwe has only one Ugandan import, Dan Wagaluka to talk about, K’Ogalo has even acquired former Uganda Cranes head coach Bobby Williamson. Cheap talk. In his blind praise, Osanjo even forgets the reason why Williamson was sacked by Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) - non performance. A coach who could not qualify the Cranes to the African Cup of Nations over the six years he was at the helm is a failure, authorities at FUFA concluded. Ingwe did not buy Wagaluka simply to match K’Ogalo in the acquisition of Ugandan imports. Luc Eymael got Wagaluka to the den to add value to the team and It is only a matter of time before Osanjo and his ilk see the results. Osanjo’s petty talk aside, Ingwe heads to the next set of matches without any injuries or suspensions, Edwin Wafula having served his one match suspension yesterday and Anthony Kimani having recovered from a knee strain. The next two matches will be particularly crucial in Ingwe’s march to glory this season. This weekend, Ingwe will be in Nakuru for the return leg tie against Ulinzi, a team we thrashed home and away last season. In the first leg played at our second home ground, Mumias Sports Complex early this year, veteran Charles Okwemba settled the contest in the 81st minute with a stunning shot, a contender for goal of the season. With the depth and quality in this Ingwe side, we should find little difficulties picking the three points. A week later, we will be up against K’Ogalo in a match likely to determine the KPL winners this season if current form is anything to go by. In the first leg, even the most fanatical K’Ogalo fan will readily admit that Ingwe was unlucky to lose, what with a display never seen in this part of the world in recent years. Call it the Logarusic curse for what else could it be? Admittedly, both teams have changed a bit from the first leg. Ingwe has brought in a couple of first team players - Peter Opiyo, Abdalla Juma and Michael Khamati. Eric Masika has also forced his way back into the first team while Allan Wanga has re-discovered his form. The goals are also coming, and in abundance. K’Ogalo on the other hand has a new coach. Watching the K’Ogalo - Chemelil mid week clash, I quickly noticed that Williamson’s team was more attack minded. This is a marked departure from the ultra defensive K’Ogalo Logarusic. Osanjo must be ready to concede defeat and move on when Ingwe finally secures its we’ll deserved victory that fateful Sunday.
