PETER NWAOBOSHI AN APOSTLE OF EQUITY FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE EQUITY as defined by the LONGMAN DICTIONARY refers to a situation in which all people are treated equally and no one as an unfair advantage. EQUITY was also defined as a law that fair judgement must be made in a situation where the existing law does not have an answer It is an established fact that DELTA STATE consists of 3 senatorial district which includes, Delta Central, Delta South and Delta North. In the democratic ERA of Nigeria any judgement on equity is calculated from the year 1999. PETER NWAOBOSHI as a founding member of Peoples democratic party in Delta State and also the Pioneer secretary of the party with his EXCO members were able to deliver the party the first time to a land-slide victory in the 1999 gubernatorial election in Delta state with an UROHOBO(DELTA CENTRAL) man in the person of Chief James Ibori as governor of the Delta state. Subsequently PETER NWAOBOSHI was appointed the political adviser to James Ibori due to his high mental prowess in political matters. Towards the end of the Eight(8) years tenure of James Ibori, PETER NWAOBOSHI saw the non-willingness of the UROHOBOs to lose grip of the leadership mantle of Delta state as they saw ruling the state as the BIRTH-RIGHT of the UROHOBOs. These unjust circumstance prompted PETER NWAOBOSHI to stand for justice as he formed a group called EQUITY 2007. The objective of EQUITY 2007 was to ensure that power shifts to either DELTA SOUTH OR DELTA NORTH senatorial district of Delta state. PETER NWAOBOSHI stood the risk of losing his job due to the formation of the group as it was a direct political fight against the wish of his principal at that time. After alot of threats and political tussle PETER NWAOBOSHI was relief of his appointment in the state and was redeployed to ABUJA as Special Adviser LIASON OFFICE ABUJA all in a bid to take him away from Delta state and to destabilize EQUITY 2007. After an unforgettable PDP primaries in 2007 held in Ogwashi-Uku, EQUITY 2007 triumphed power shifted to the DELTA SOUTH. Here 2015 is approaching again and UPU(Urhobo Progress Union) a fore-front group in the CENTRAL has began with their inflammatory statement that NOTHING LIKE POWER SHIFT as they continue to see the governorship of DELTA STATE as their BIRTH-RIGHT. This is a clarion call to the Anioma people to join forces with PETER NWAOBOSHI as 2015 approaches, the message of PETER NWAOBOSHI is to Deltans is EQUITY 2015.
