PETITION #27 – June 29th to July 5th Merciful God, Ruler of all nations, we entrust our country to Your mercy, Your protection and Your loving care. Send forth Your Spirit to enlighten and guide the hearts and minds of our nation’s leaders, judges and politicians. Give them the courage to stand up for truth and righteousness, and the wisdom to govern with prudence and good judgment. Remind them and all who live in this country that true happiness and freedom consists in seeking and doing Your will. Merciful Redeemer, banish the powers of darkness, reclaim our country for Your glory and come again and dwell among Your people. During this Chaplet, we also bring to the throne of Your unfathomable Mercy our own needs, desires and intentions, as well as those of our fellow Marathon members. Have mercy too on all those who are close to death. For the sake of Your sorrowful Passion, grant them the grace of true repentance. May they come to know and trust in Your Divine Mercy before they take their final breath. Jesus, I trust in You.
