PETITION..Tell Burberry to be FUR FREE! Help us #savekimi and the hundreds of thousands animals being killed for fur! Call on Burberry to be fur free! Kimi is just one of hundreds of thousands of foxes that are cruelly kept and brutally killed every year in Finland for the fur clothing industry. Kimi is still alive, on a Finnish fur farm, but the slaughter season, the so-called “fur harvest”, is drawing closer. From the end of October and throughout November, the pelts will be stripped from hundreds of thousands of foxes, mink and raccoon dogs. Almost all the farms supply fur auctioneers SAGA FURS, who in turn supply luxury brands such as the British label Burberry. Help Kimi and others like him! We cannot accept that another generation of foxes will suffer horrific deaths, only to end up as the collar on a jacket or the bobble on a hat. Christopher Bailey, new CEO at Burberry since May 2014, has to show the way! The fate of Kimi and thousands of other fur-bearing animals are in his hands. We call on Christopher Bailey, today, to save Kimi’s life, and make Burberry a fur-free company. Help us #savekimi! Kimi is a young fox, born in April 2014. Like hundreds of thousands of other foxes, he lives locked up in a tiny wire cage on a fur farm in Finland. Burberry sources fur from such farms, but there is simply no need to cause animals to suffer like this by including real fur in your collections. As a renowned designer, and new CEO of Burberry, you stand for aesthetic values and success. Financial success. But what about moral responsibility? Show some heart, show your standing, and set an example! You can save Kimi and hundreds of thousands of foxes, raccoon dogs and mink from a cruel fate, just by making an easy decision for your company: stop using fur! Such a stand would be a mark of true leadership and commercial foresight. Let Kimi and his fellow animals live! I call on Burberry to be fur free! Burberry and Saga Furs – no guarantee of animal welfare Luxury clothing label Burberry claims their fur supplier, Saga Furs, stands for high standards of animal welfare. But a new video from Finland shows the grim truth: fur animals shut away in tiny wire cages, piles of excrement below the rows of cages, animals with infected eyes and morbidly obese bodies. Their final moment: yanked out of their cages and electrocuted. Many of these farms produce for Saga Furs.
