PETRAEUS-mug Protest Ex-General David Petraeus and the expanding wars on Iraq and Syria! The 92nd St. Y on Lexington Ave. Very scary - the night before Halloween! October 30 at 6:00 pm -- note corrected time! Feel free to come in your Halloween costume - scary is fine. If you have a witches cauldron, please bring it! Of course, you can wear orange - well have orange jumpsuits available. If this were a contest for who could be scariest, we know who would win - Petraeus and his two copanelists (see below). Given Petraeus criminal responsibility for much of the war on Iraq and Afghanistan and given the current relentless US bombing of Iraq and Syria, this is an important time to be visibly protesting – drawing connections between what he advocates, his history and current and future US policy - to make a statement about Petraeus and about the continuing and expanding US wars. We also want to point out that the General continues to teach at CUNYs Macaulay Honors College, every Monday from 3:00-6:00. The Generals copanelists are John Nagl, coauthor of the Army and Marines counterinsurgency manual and Max Boot (just added this week) who is a prominent advocate for US military dominance.
