PF CONVENTION - RAJAN MAHTANI SLAPS FUNDING CONDITIONS Barely 24hours before Members of the Central Committee meets with Acting President Dr Guy Scott at State House on Monday, details have emerged that Dr Rajah Mahtani, has been approached to fund the Convention but Rajah has since put ice on the proposal. The Friends of Honourable Edgar Lungu now learns that at least K3.8m (rebased) was expected to be released by Finance Bank financial guru. Dr Mahtani has given the Guy Scott team homework to sort out the internal factional differences before he could step in and consider to help fund the convention, an impeccable source has said. To that effect, Dr Scott then had to call for an urgent meeting, set for tomorrow with a view of persuading the pro-Edgar Lungu Members of the Central Committee. However, the Central Committee has indicated that they would not go back on the decision of the 13th November resolution which adopted Hon. Edgar Lungu as the partys candidate for the forthcoming Presidential election set for January 2015.
