PF Copperbelt Youths to Miles Sampa: “How Much Did You Spend on Sata? We’ll Refund” Patriotic Front Youths on the Copperbelt have asked Matero member of parliament Miles Sampa to give them an invoice showing the total figures including the value of a car he gave President Michael Sata as contribution to the ruling party so that he is refunded in earnest. In a statement read on their behalf by PF youth secretary for Copperbelt Binwell Mpundu, the youths are extremely disappointed with Sampa for stating that he sacrificed for the party while in opposition. Sampa during a press briefing on Thursday at which he announced his candidature for the PF top job boasted that he gave President Sata his car and now deserved to be president. The Matero MP is reportedly being backed by a vicious cable of business crooks led by Finance Bank owner Rajan Mahtani and Post Newspaper owner Fred M’membe collectively known as the infamous Cartel. PF youths are so upset with Sampa that they have so far raise K2000 as start up funds to refund late president Sata’s nephew. “We wish to announce the lunch of a campaign we are calling ‘Miles Sampa refund initiative’ which is aimed at raising funds to pay off Mr Miles Sampa for the contribution he is purported to have contributed to the party,” the statement read in part. Mpundu stated that the initiative comes in the wake of unfortunate statements attributed to Sampa claiming he was behind the success of late president Michael Sata’s political career. “We are saddened that the statement by Sampa is extremely disappointing, for us on the Copperbelt we find those words very childish and very offensive,” the statement further reads. He stated that the youths are further calling on the general public to donate little funds to assist in paying off the commerce deputy minister his contribution to the party. “We have so far set aside K2,000 as an initial deposit in an account to be opened tomorrow (Monday),” added Mpundu. The youths have since vowed not to leave any stone unturned but ensure that selfish politicians are not allowed to take over from the late President Michael Sata who sacrificed his life to serve poor Zambians. zambiareports/2014/11/17/pf-copperbelt-youths-miles-sampa-much-spend-sata-well-refund/
