PF Militia Men Assault Fr Bwalya in Ndola Members of the ruling Patriotic Front militia men yesterday afternoon attacked Alliance for a Better Zambia president Fr Frank Bwalya in Ndola’s Kawama township. Fr Bwalya was severely beaten and sustained serious injuries after being mocked into frog-jumping as the panga and gun carrying militiamen laughed issued orders. This was during a visit to one of his party members who is unwell and is being nursed from his home. Fr Bwalya sustained injuries on his right arm and ribs. The cadres stormed the sick member’s house and beat up everyone outside. When the Catholic cleric went outside to plead with the cadres to stop beating up people they turned on him. He went on to obtain a medical report and reported the matter to the partisan police in Ndola. Over the weekend, UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema escaped through the rooftop of Insurance Building whilst appearing on Sun FM radio.
