PHANTOM CAMERA DEMO Brooks instructor Scott Miles ran a demo of the Vision Research Phantom High Speed Camera today for the Scientific/Industrial classes. Vision Research recently donated a Phantom HD Gold high frame rate video camera to Brooks Institute for use by all qualified students in all programs. The Phantom camera system can be used to produce slow-motion video for narrative, documentary, advertising, scientific, engineering and other applications. Just watching a simple water pour in slow motion is mesmerizing. It will be fascinating to see what students produce with this amazing tool. One of our graduates from last semester was hired by Boeing, partly because of his familiarity with high speed video and the Phantom Camera. Our thanks go to Vision Research for their generosity in supplying Brooks Institute with such a valuable piece of equipment and providing the opportunity for students to learn high speed capture with such an amazing camera.
