PHARMA NEWS OF THE DAY: CURA Technologies introduce DReam Digital Radiography Systems. CURA Healthcare, a leading Indian medical technology company, has now unveiled the DReam Digital Radiography system, a revolutionary product making significant change in imaging solutions. The company has stated that it is the first to bring DR technology into India helping to change X-ray usage system. DReam offers a single detector design used in all positions without physical movement of detector reducing investment for two detectors. It comes with a flat panel technology providing the highest image quality. Radiation emitted by DReam is very low ensuring patient safety, especially paediatric patients as it emits 25-50 per cent lesser radiation as compared to other systems. DReam is a lifesaving system for emergency, trauma and accident cases and has very high patient throughput like up-to 300 patients per day. The complete system works on a 15 Amps power supply saving high power consumption and takes in least floor space requirement of 110 sq. ft. Digital Radiography helps in reducing the exposure time significantly and enhances safety, improves image quality . It enables tele radiology reporting in real time. Further, it saves vital floor space of around 60-70 sq.ft. According to Balasubramaniam, chief executive officer, CURA Healthcare, the concept of going digital makes the process quick and very efficient. With such technological advancements, services provided are better with accurate results.
