PHILA COUNCILMAN INTRO BILL TARGETING BANDIT SIGNS A councilman in the city has introduced a new bill that will crackdown on those ugly signs you see attached to poles or trees around the city. Bobby Henon, a sixth district councilman, has proposed a new bill that will target the bandit signs that are hung around the city. According to Henon, the signs are a constant nuisance and now the new bill with double the fine to $150 and will boost the maximum fine up to $1000 per sign if the matter ends up in court. Not only will the bill increase fines, but it will also give any resident in the city the ability to rip down a sign. Last year, the Nutter administration attempted to launch its own effort to take down bandit signs, however, the effort was unsuccesful because department crews have a hard time tracking people who post them.
