PHL AMBASSADOR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT GIORGI MARGVELASHVILI OF GEORGIA 19 March 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Turkey Maria Rowena Mendoza Sanchez presented her credentials as non-resident Ambassador of the Philippines to President Giorgi Margvelashvili of Georgia, on March 14 at the Presidents Hall in Tbilisi. Ambassador Sanchez was one of the seven non-resident Ambassadors from the countries of Australia, Ireland, Malta, Serbia, the Sultanate of Oman and Turkmenistan who handed over their credentials to President Margvelashvili that day. While presenting her credentials to President Margvelashvili, Ambassador Sanchez conveyed the best wishes of President Benigno S. Aquino III to President Margvelashvili and expressed the Philippines commitment to enhancing its bilateral relations with Georgia. President Margvelashvili in turn extended warm greetings to President Aquino and expressed Georgias commitment to to strengthening its ties with the Philippines. The ceremony was followed by a ceremonial toast where President Margvelashvili and the non-resident Ambassadors discussed about the importance of multilateral cooperation and potential for further development in diplomatic engagement. Ambassador Sanchez was joined by Mr. Teimuraz Chichinadze, Consul General a.h. of the Philippines to Georgia, and Third Secretary and Vice Consul Ericka Anna T. Abad during the ceremony. Ambassador Sanchez is the 5th non-resident Ambassador of the Philippines to Georgia.
