PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP COMING SUNDAY - Here is what we know so far about Sundays visit from the photography group; all arrangements are flexible and casual. - the weather forecast is clear - we expect up to 50 visitors. Mike from T&F Camera in Vineland will be there but Bart can not attend. - earliest photographer ETA is around 8:00 am so this wont interfere with the peak of morning fishing boat launches from the ramp - Bruce Smith will be offering free boat rides to the photographers as a way of promoting his charter service that will be available later this season. We presume they may want to ride up the creek to the eagles nest area. - the marina will have plenty of food and beverages. We are not licensed to sell unpackaged or cooked food but we can take donations to cover costs. - parking can be anywhere away from the boat ramp. We will have help with parking. - we will have a one page flyer with a sketch of locations of interest for the photographers - if there is no breeze be prepared for gnats. We have different types of spray and (hopefully) a new shipment of head nets by then. - if you arent familiar with gnats, consider wearing light loose fitting long sleeve clothing with a collared shirt to minimize their annoyance. And dont curse the gnats, they are the areas natural population control. - we expect (but cant promise) that the horseshoe crabs, red knots and other migratory species will be at peak numbers by then - we hope that the osprey next in front of the deck and resident eagles will provide additional subject material - the oyster boats dont come in until early afternoon (noon to one) so it might be necessary to hang around to get these shots - we now have a new 16x24 sun-screened area on the deck in the event that mid-day sun gets too intense - we will have copies of the Audubon shore bird identification guide to hand out - we could use a few volunteers to help out with the grill, shop and parking area - there is no charge for the event; just normal charges for bait shop items of course - our marina staff (Bruce and the boys who often help) are not paid but may accept tips for exceptional service - if any questions or comments, please speak with Bruce or Tony
