PHOTOS OF THE DAY: Hanging backstage @ The Symphony Center last night with Chicagos own Jack DeJohnette. Mr. DeJohnette was in town to perform with pianist Keith Jarrett and bassist Gary Peacock. The trio played two incredible sets that included highly inventive arrangements of Fever, My Funny Valentine, On Green Dolphin Street and Django to name but a few of the more than a dozen pieces they performed. Combined, Messrs. DeJohnette, Jarrett, and Peacock have roughly 200 years of playing experience which they beautifully utilized to captivate and entertain the audience for over two hours. Deservingly so, the trio received several standing ovations throughout the night. Vics was proud to supply the gear for Mr. DeJohnette.
