PIA-CAR/MOUNTAIN PROVINCE: Update report of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Mt. Province District Engineering Office as of August 22,2013, 9:00 in the morning. a) Mt. Province-Cagayan via Tabuk-Enrile road, Gawa section, K0403+139, is open to light vehicles only. Actions taken: One lane is widened with 50 meters length. Downgrading will continue today. b) Mt Province- Ilocos Sur road via Tue is closed at K0394+000 -K0394+280 due to fallen pine trees, K0392+500 due to land slides, K0392+300 due to rock slides. All under contract. c) Bontoc-Baguio road is closed to traffic due to slide (solid rock) at K0347+950, Mt Data -Lukib section. Department of Public Works and Highways payloader and electric drillers are mobilized to operate. d) All other road sections are open to traffic.
