PIKE here: In the last week I’ve received a ton of emails on my AOL account asking questions about “Black Knight -- Witch World 2.” The vast majority have come from fans who’ve read the book and are curious about certain details in the plot. Naturally, many of these questions overlap, and to answer each email I’d have to repeat myself a few hundred times. I don’t want to do that. At the same time I don’t want to ignore the questions. So I was thinking I could answer them here, on this Facebook site. But before I do I’d like any of you who have finished reading the book and want to discuss it to post your own questions here -- on this post. However, if your question is going to be of a spoiler nature -- and I assume most questions will be -- then please type clearly before your question the word “SPOILER.” I fear I’m making this more complicated than it is. I simply want to talk about the book without ruining it for anyone. Now I realize the novel has just come out. Most of you probably haven’t even read it or bought or even seen it at your local bookstore. That’s fine -- I’ll leave this post up for months and answer whatever questions you happen to have. And I, likewise, will type “SPOILER” before any of my answers. By the way, my publisher and I would appreciate any feedback you’d like to post on Amazon. Even if you hate the book -- or just hate the author -- stop by and leave a review. Goodreads is also a good place to leave a review if you feel so inclined. It amazes me the questions I’ve already received. Most are extremely thoughtful, insightful even, and I’m embarrassed to say I don’t necessarily have an answer to every question. What I mean is many are seeing things in Black Knight that I didn’t think of when I wrote it. Of course that happens. People read things into books. But what I’m saying is a little different. People are writing me with questions that contain ideas that will actually help me continue the series. For example, I got a question tonight from a girl who described herself as a sixteen year old “Pike Fanatic.” She asked a question that literally cut to the heart of what the next book should be about. After I picked myself up off the floor, I asked myself, “Now why didn’t I think of that?” I felt jealous on top of being humbled -- especially since she kept telling me what a great writer I was. All I can say is I wished I’d had her imagination when I was her age. Finally, going by the response I’ve received, I’m glad so many of you are enjoying the book. I did promise you a wild ride and I’m glad most of you think I delivered. Just wait until you see “STRANGE GIRL!” All the best, PIKE/KEVIN
