PINK RIBBON ROUND On average, One in 8 women will develop breast - TopicsExpress

PINK RIBBON ROUND On average, One in 8 women will develop breast cancer in thier lifetime and one of seven women will die from breast cancer every day in Australia. The pink ribbon is a beacon. A beacon of strength, hope and courage to those that have it. A beacon of support to the loved ones that are affected by it and a remembrance to those that we have lost because of it. Most importantly it is a beacon to stand as one to conquer this horrible disease. Written by our very own Katie Newman and her brother Ben who lost their mother last year to breast cancer. In support of Breast Cancer the top 4 teams will be wearing a pink ribbon today to recognise all those club members and families who are suffering or have been affected by Breast Cancer. You can show your support on the side line by wearing a pink ribbon or making a donation to the Cancer Council. Games kick off at 12.30pm with the M1 women!
