PIRATE DAVE IS A WOMAN..... Last night something wild happened. I was stunned and I laughed till I almost peed. I am at the IRC Readers convention in TN and there was a cosplay event last night. Id never been to one and wasnt sponsoring it so I stayed in my room to write. I received a frantic call from author Donna McDonald SciFi Romances to get my ass downstairs because a gal was performing Pirate Dave. I ran. Fast. She was unbelievably fabu. She had conjoined blow up dolls and was sporting double appendages that squeaked. Never in my life did I think I would see this...and I am so glad I did. I hope and pray to Buddha that people know Pirate Dave and his Randy Adventures is a SPOOF. However, watching a creature from my mind come alive with someone elses interpretation (even it it was my Dave) was humbling and delightful beyond anything I had expected. I now need to go back and read Pirate Dave again. I was laughing hard and honestly couldnt even remember writing some of those extremely offensive and politically incorrect lines.
