PISTOL PETE MARAVICH: a very unfamiliar name to me. Yet after watching this video, I discovered that he indeed was the greatest basketball player of all time, scoring an average of 44.5 pts per game in college when there was still no 3-point shot! He played as an NBA pro, did well too yet had ups and downs due to personal and family issues. Due to injury he was forced to slow down. Frustrated, he retired at 33. But the good thing about his life was, after basketball, he found Christ, got saved and even led his father to God. Devoted his life for church work with his family, Pete was a Pistol shooting for souls! At 40 God took him while playing a friendly game with church mates. I really like what his brother told about him which goes like this, If my brother Pete were alive today he would be walking on the streets and distributing leaflets about JESUS!
