PK opposed to talks with Pak till it reigns in terrorists Posted on September 26, 2013 by Dailyexcelsior Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Sept 25: Panun Kashmir (PK) Political Affairs Committee in its meting here today held under the chairmanship of Prof M L Raina chairman of the Committee briefed the activists about the week long activities of the party held at Chandigarh and New Delhi. Addressing the meeting PK president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said his organization fully endorses the national view that the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh should not hold talks with his Pakistani counterpart on the side lines of UN General Assembly meet in New York. He said the meeting is contrary to the mood of the nation and is at complete variance with the national policy on dialogue with State of Pakistan. He said PK is of the strong view that the terrorism and talks can’t go simultaneously and Pakistan has to assure India that it will reign in the terrorist industry operating from its soil against India which it considers as its strategic asset. The Pakistan angle in the Nairobi bomb blasts and killings is a serious concern for the civilized world and the reported statements by the West regarding Pakistan’s involvement in various terrorist acts across the globe are a serious indictment of the Pakistan, he added. He said KPs are first and direct victims of Pak sponsored terrorism in Kashmir and the recent massacre of Christians in a Church in Pakistan should further open the eyes of the West regarding the terror industry Pakistan has nurtured over years. Prof Raina said the series of programmes organized by PK has given it added responsibility to carry forward the mission with renewed zeal. It will be perfect for PK to organize an annual yatra to Anandpur Sahab and Chamkaur Sahab simultaneously to pay respects and obeisance at the great places of reverence. Virender Riana national spokesman PK Said his organization would continue to strengthen the ideological contours of its homeland policy. “We would carry forward the community interests in all forums and would expose the reported sinister move like so called clusters in Kashmir Valley and sham return package with full might. Original Press Release PANUN KASHMIR Central Secretariat: 149, Lower Luxminagar, Sarwal, Jammu-180005 (Phone: 0-9419141214 / 0-9419859983) Ref. PK/Press-17 Date: 25 September 2013 (Ashiwan 12, Kashmiri Pandit Nirvasan Samvat-24) Press Release Panun Kashmir Political Affairs Committee met here today to discuss the current political scenario. The meeting was chaired by Prof. M.L.Raina, Chairman of the Committee. The meeting besides others was attended by S/Shri Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir, Virender Raina, National Spokesperson and J.L.Kaul, Vice President. A brief of the week long series of programmes held at Panchkula-Chandigarh-Anandpur Sahab and the meeting at North Block was presented before the members of the Political affairs committee. Shri Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President-PK in his speech said that the emanating media reports suggest that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is going to meet the Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharief in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session. The meeting is contrary to the mood of the nation and is at complete variance with the national policy on dialogue with the State of Pakistan. Panun Kashmir is of the strong view that terrorism and talks cannot go simultaneously. Pakistan has to assure the Indian nation that it will reign in the ‘terrorist industry’ operating from its soil against India which it considers as its ‘strategic asset’. The Pakistan angle in the Nairobi bomb blasts and killings is a serious concern for the civilized world. The reported statements by the west regarding Pakistan’s involvement in various terrorist acts across the globe are a serious indictment of the State of Pakistan. Kashmiri Pandits are the first and the direct victims of the Pak sponsored terrorism in Kashmir. The recent massacre of Christians in a church in Pakistan should further open the eyes of the west regarding the ‘terror industry’ Pakistan has nurtured over the years. Prof. M.L.Raina in his address said that the recent series of programmes conducted by Panun Kashmir has given the organisation an added responsibility to carry forward the mission further with renewed zeal. It would be perfect for Panun Kashmir, henceforth, to organise an annual Yatra to Anandpur Sahab and Chamkaur Sahab simultaneously to pay respects and obeisance at the great places of reverence as was declared by the President of Panun Kashmir recently at Anandpur Sahab. This will go into the history as a proud tradition and will inspire future generations to stand against tyranny as the path shown by the great sacrifice of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Maharaj. Shri Virender Raina while speaking on the occasion said that Panun Kashmir would continue to strengthen the ideological contours of its Homeland policy. We would carry forward the community interests in all forums and would expose the reported sinister moves like the so-called ‘clusters’ in Kashmir and sham return packages with full might. Relief, economic and employment packages are the right of the community. Return and resettlement in Kashmir is purely a political issue and cannot be linked with any other issue of day to day life needs. That has been the stand of the Government of India too as expressed by its standing council in the National Human Rights commission. The J&K government cannot wish Kashmiri Pandit community away and put its responsibility solely on the Central government. The community has a proportionate right over the resources and the budget of the land. Virender Raina, National spokesperson (PK) DSC03691.JPG DSC03691.JPG 8
