PKR vice president Rafizi Ramli said he is “proud” of being sued for defending the people after receiving a letter of demand today from Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak lawyers. In the letter, Rafizi said he was asked to provide an explanation of a statement he made in a video titled Kenapa kita pertahan subsidy minyak (Why we are defending the oil subsidy). “I feel proud for receiving a summons from a prime minister for defending the rights of the people in demanding an oil subsidy of at least 30 cents a litre,” he said in a statement today. However as seen in this video, Rafizi was NOT sued for defending the rights of the people but for outright slander of PM Najib and his wife, Rosmah.
