PLAYERS DA SEMANA / PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Said & Tania MY KIZOMBA, by Said My journey with Kizomba starts with the music. On a fateful day in 2002, receiving two burned CDs from my younger brother. Each clearly labeled: Zouk & Kizomba. Having grown up with zouk music from a young age , this new Kizomba music certainly peaked my interest in a new and profound way. I couldnt get enough of it, as I started to spend endless nights trawling the web for more of this amazing music. One of the best things about living in London is its magnificent diversity, so I was sure that at some point I would be able to listen to it in the club environment. So, finally, a year later when a friend took me to a club that plays the music, I was just dazzled to discover it has a social dance structure to accompany it. I remember thinking these people are amazing and I just have to learn how to do this. Although promised lessons, it wasnt till a couple years later still that I would begin the dance part of my journey, by meeting Kwenda Lima. Read more in: kizombanation
