PLEADING FOR DONATION HELP! We had a very bad incident happen with three of our sweet foster cats and are in major need of donation help. Yesterday was our first day back with our students and we were unpacking boxes and cleaning, while letting all of our cats roam around and socialize with everyone. We had some shampoos and disinfectants spill our store room and while we were cleaning up a couple of the cats ran into the room, but were immediately taken out and everyone was totally fine. Well when I came to work this morning I noticed three of the cats in our cat room had severely swollen tongues, drooling badly, and very lethargic. We went into panic mode and brought them to the vet immediately. They all had ulcers all over their tongues and mouths, 105+ degree temperatures, and one baby had badly swollen paws. We were able to give them steroids and antibiotics asap and the vet put everyone under to flush out their mouths really good, bathe them, and give them fluids. Our amazing vet believes that everyone will live, but they are going to have a rough next couple days of recovery. We are providing them with the best care possible, which means they will have a large vet bill. It is very scary how a freak accident can happen like this anywhere, I am thankful that we caught it quickly and we were able to figure out what had happened to them right away to start treating them.
