It explains why I personally feel our vote is so important and why we have to stop the CONs screwing with our elections, once and for all. It is hoped one or more papers will grab the story and maybe even expand on it. ---------------- During the week before the November 17th by elections, the spirit of Colonel Henry Hamer, Black Watch, Montreal will be getting on the GO bus and train system in Niagara, Ontario every morning at dawn and travel all the way to Whitby-Oshawa. It will be his grandson, Mike Rilstone, carrying on with what he feels is his Grandfather’s work. “Grandpa fought in both World Wars,” explains Mike, “and then after World War Two, when soldiers were on their way home, he traveled to the Auschwitz Concentration Camp to help work on the report for the Nuremberg Trial.” Rilstone explained that if you multiply, by millions of men and women, the sacrifice his grandfather made, then any Government leading Canada a century later should be ensuring that the freedom to vote these brave Canadians fought and died for should be considered priceless, to be guarded forever, at any cost. Instead Rilstone feels the Harper Government has destroyed the free vote by both fraud, proved in the courts, and voter suppression, making a joke of the freedoms our forefathers died for. Rilstone has prepared a flyer with a thumbs down logo containing the words “CONs be Gone!” The flyer contains a summary originally seen by Rilstone on Facebook that summarizes many of the serious abuses the Harper Government has inflicted on Canada and Canadians. “Remember years ago, how Americans would sew a maple leaf on their backpacks when travelling overseas, pretending to be Canadian? Today, be it genocide, Climate Change or named the most fraudulent country on the planet, our once proud nation has become an armpit. We are such a joke worldwide Harper couldnt even muster an audience in the United Nations General Assembly to listen to him.” Because he feels the CONs voter suppression tactics must be negated on his grandfather’s behalf, Rilstone will spend his days delivering the CONs be Gone flyer to thousands of homes in Whitby and Oshawa. It urges everyone to get out and exercise their right to vote. “Our mission for all by-elections and the 2015 General Election is an Information Campaign and the message to VOTE!” If anyone wishes to help the CONs Be Gone cause, Rilstone would love volunteers to help go door-to-door, for any amount of time they can give.
