I have the privilege of representing an elderly woman by the name of Susana Small-Hammer as her attorney who was the victim of the May 2010 flood. Susanas story in this fox news story link below. I want to help her with temporary housing till Sumner County government gets their act together by helping her get her home rehabilitated as promised in a particular program that they received federal and/or state funds for. The contractor left the job and there is still debris on the property from the home being torn down to start building the new home. Susana is currently living in an RV without proper electrical hook up, heat, or hot water. As her attorney I am limited in what I can do however I have promised to pay the first month of rent of an apartment. I am posting the following requests to help her so as to avoid any appearance of impropriety. One, please message me if you would be interested in administering a donation campaign to help Susana raise funds for six months of an apartment lease. Two, please donate funds or message me if you have a dwelling that she could reside in temporarily. Third, please share this post with all your friends on their timeline. Fourth, please call the county executive Anthony Holt and demand that the county agency help get her new home started and/or email your county commissioners. I know of two other home owners who share Susanas plight who I hope this launch of a donation campaign can grow to help. This is the season to help others and I was heart broken by this fox news story and seeing her living conditions. I will not receive any donations directly nor will it be used for litigation against this contractor or Sumner County government. I look forward to someone taking it from here and managing this campaign and helping her. Another idea is to start an online donation campaign.
