PLEASE END THE STRIKE FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Engr. Dr. Shuaibu Muhammad Musa has called on the Federal Government and the Leadership of the striking Polytechnic Staff Unions to resolve the crises bedeviling the Polytechnic sector in the Country. The call was made at a valedictory meeting in honour of the out-going Deputy Rector of the Institution, Engr. Dr. Japhet Dauda Konni. The Rector noted that the strike had brought to a standstill all academic activities in the Polytechnics, leaving thousands of students idle at home. Which according to him the situation has not only affected the programs of these students but also created other serious social challenges to the general public. In view of the above, the Rector further noted that, resolving the crises would go a long way in enhancing the growth and development of Technical and Vocational Education, an important component of the current transformation agenda of the Federal Government. Dr. Musa further called on the traditional leaders, politicians, businessmen and other relevant individuals and groups to intervene with a view to resolving the lingering issues.
