===PLEASE FORWARD WIDELY=== Urgent Solidarity Alert Early this morning Hamilton Police moved on to the #SwampLine9 protest action in Ontario, mass arresting almost everyone on site. At this moment in time, those arrested are being released with charges. Charges include Disobey Court Order and Trespass. Activists have been occupying an Enbridge pumping station north of Hamilton, Ontario since early Thursday morning. This action, dubbed Swamp Line 9, aims to prevent construction on Line 9 and block the transport of Tar Sands through Ontario and Quebec. This action is also part of the Idle No More campaign Sovereignty Summer. 20 people were arrested. 15 were charged with tresspassing. 4 (who were physically locked down) were charged with Mischief Under $5000 and Disobey Court Order (Failure to Leave Premises). They have nonassociation with the other 15 arrestees. 1 Indigenous blockader was charged with Breaking & Entering, Tresspassing and also has nonassociation. You can help!
