Long Beach, CA To donate, ANY AMOUNT HELPS: 1) Go to paypal and paypal my account cdzacko@hotmail 2) For a tax deductible donation, go to carsoncats and notate batman To foster, please email me at cdzacko@gmail We rescued little Batman 2 weeks ago when he had an hour to spare....He went straight to a new foster who had never dealt with small kittens like Batman, let alone from the shelter, but she was the only one to step up for his life...and boy has she gone above an beyond....the first night she could not get him to eat or bottle feed...she took him to the vet the next day and as murphys law would have it, he started chowing down on the kitten food they gave him...the next week all was doing amazing until she woke up in the middle of the night to see Batman being extremely shakey and walking funny...She rushed him to her closest 24 hour hospital where they found his temperature and blood sugar levels extremely low....we thought we were going to lose him but the little stinker made it through the night....he was put on IVs and monitored for 3 days while they stabilized him and made sure he could monitor his own temperature...they fell in love with him so much and his story that they gave Haley the foster a 50% discount on his bill...When they felt he could leave, Haley put down her Care Credit card but only had $300 on it...They let her take him home but said they would just charge interest until the balance was paid off.... Haley took him home and was supposed to monitor him closely, feeding him every 4-6 hours...Mind you Haley has a 3 year old son and 2 jobs but she said she would figure it out because she loved Batman so much! 3 days ago, later called me in a panic at 6:30am....She found Batman in the same position she did a week prior...i told her to take her to the vet where he had been immediately...They checked his blood levels and they were ok but temp had droppped back down...they monitored him for 24 hours and noticed that between 3am and 6am is when his temperature seems to drop....they were going to release back to haley provided she was able to feed him every 4-6 hours, give him nutri-cal every 3 hours and moderate his temperature with a heat source....BUT first they noticed that he might have signs of mange....and yes he does have mange on top of everything.... It gets worse...now haley has mange...she had been complaining about a rash and had gone to the doctor a few days ago and they thought she was just stressed...but after learning about Batman, she went back to the doctor and they confirmed she does have mange...AND her husband has it, her son and her aunt!!!! AND haley is in the food services industry and she can not go back to work until its gone ;( :( :( So needless to say her family is very upset and she can not take Batman back until she gets things in control with her family and he is healthier...Its just not a good situation all the way around!! SOOOOOO, we desperately need a foster for Batman who can monitor him for the next week and obviously ISO!!! We also DESPERATELY need to pay his bill at the hospital and his upcoming expenses...so far the total for the 2 times he has been in the hospital is $1400 and until we find a foster it will grow....We do not have the funds right now and ANY donation will help!!
