PLEASE HELP LAUREN AND HER BABIES... It wasnt long ago that Lauren sat pregnant and terrified in a local shelter worried that her babies would come while she was there. She was alone and didnt know what would happen to her. Alaqua Animal Refuge had a space open up to take her in. Alaquas goal was to find her a safe foster home where she could deliver, but she was too terrified and we worried that she would bite someone. So, we got her all set up in a quarantine building where she can stay safe. Just three days after she arrived at Alaqua, Lauren gave birth to four girls. They are so cute and tiny and she is a great mom. Lauren was treated for parasites and diarrhea and is doing okay. Lauren will stay here with her puppies for eight weeks. They will receive all of their vaccines and boosters and be spayed and microchipped. Lauren hasnt been tested for heartworms, so lets pray she is HW negative. Caring for Lauren and her girls will cost Alaqua over $1000 in medical care plus the food and labor cost that goes along with it.
