Solar Powered Flashing Lights and New School Cross Walk Signs to be placed in Busy Intersection (Heber, CA) – State Senator Ben Hueso (D-San Diego), alongside State Department of Transportation and Heber School and Public Utility officials will unveil newly installed solar powered safety beacons and school crosswalk signs that will be placed at the intersection of Heber Avenue and State Route 86. Throughout the last several months, the Heber Community along with School and Public Utility Officials garnered over 500 signatures asking State Officials for modifications to be made to the Heber Avenue intersection. “I want to thank the many families of Heber for making their voices heard through their petition! Together we can take great pride in knowing that we live in a safe community, with good public schools and safer roads for our children to get to school and for our seniors to move about —this is a step in the right direction for the families of Heber,” said Senator Hueso.
