PLEASE KEEP SIGNING and SHARING this petition! On 6 February 2013, Kepari Leniata, a young 20 year old Papua New Guinean woman was brutally murdered by a mob after she was accused of illusive allegations of ‘sorcery’. Today, Kepari’s murderers are facing trial. The Leniata Legacy advocates against gender-‐based violence in Papua New Guinea and we are urging the public to get behind this trial to ensure that Kepari’s killers are prosecuted according to the law and that this case is given a full and fair hearing without the facts and evidence being swept under the carpet. Prosecution of gender-‐crime is absolutely necessary. One of the greatest contributors to gender-‐ based violence in Papua New Guinea is the mere failure to prosecute gender-‐based crimes because of policing, priority and public interest. The Leniata Legacy invites you to join in this online campaign and demand for a full and fair hearing. IF KEPARI LENIATA DOES NOT RECEIVE JUSTICE, ALL PAPUA NEW GUINEANS DO NOT RECEIVE JUSTICE! #JUSTICE4KEPARI #STOPVIOLENCEAGAINSTWOMENINPNG #TRUSTTHELEGACY
