PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS. If we want peace, we need to be rational and know our enemy, the REAL enemy - the world-wide Muslim community is standing up publicly against IS. They have every right to be even more horrified than we are, given they cop misguided widespread abuse as a result of extremists and its done in the name of their religion, (which is in direct defiance of the teaching of Islam). YES, we need to deal firmly and quickly with the ones who are extreme and threatening, especially those HERE in our land plotting away, but we need to be careful not to make sweeping judgements also. History and common sense should show us the great folly in doing that, surely. Its about time we stood shoulder-to-shoulder as humanity against the actual threats. The threats I see are (1) extremism (in ALL its forms and societies), (2) IS and other militant extreme groups murdering innocents in ANY country), (3) DIVISION (divide and conquer tactics, usually for material gain) and (4) the other pervasive threat is media BS designed to achieve point number 3... Anyone, of any faith, is very welcome to add their thoughts to this... not to start an argument, just to share your view and be able to read others. The more we listen and get to know each other, the more open-minded we become and then, the more cohesion we can achieve as a species. We are One. All of us are different colours like an artists palette; all beautiful and together making a masterpiece. Imagine if we all learned to celebrate our diversity but remembered we are all the same... the world would look a whole lot nicer and be a lot safer.
