PLEASE Like, SHARE, and Invite other to Like this page. We need to get the word out to people all over the country that may not know about this. The more we get the word out, the more people join our cause. Why, because this is a terrible idea! I will be the first to admit, I am for development. I am for smart growth. There is nothing smart about this idea. It is a bad idea and we think Dr. Loh and the University should discontinue pursuing it immediately. · That side of campus does not need commercial development right now – the Route One corridor – including vacant University of Maryland Property needs to be redeveloped! Fix broken developed areas before developing pristine green space. · The area does not need an additional road – it needs better utilization of existing roads, and better education on those routes and their availability. The only thing a new road will do is draw additional cars to this area. · Area legislators, the surrounding communities, environmentalists all agree that this is a bad idea and should not move forward. · Disposing or partnering on a key University asset like this valuable property requires strategic thought and planning, competitive bidding, and a long-term strategic plan – all of these are lacking in this current proposal. ·To reiterate – it’s a BAD IDEA and Dr. Loh should discontinue it immediately. -SAY NO TO DR. LOH!
