PLEASE NOTE!! I have just returned from Cheshire Dogs Home - it is HECTIC over there. The kennels are closed and the newspaper reports stating the dogs rescued from the fire are ready for rescue are TOTALLY INCORRECT! Anyone with an iota of common sense would have realised that any animal traumatised on Thursday would in no way be able to be re-homed by Saturday! Sadly, common sense is in low supply with journalists and those who do not put the brain into gear before they go off on a tangent!!!! The 150 dogs rescued from the fire on Thursday are UNDER VETERINARY CARE - paperwork, identification and medical care is being carried out!!!! They are not ready for adoption - and please please please THINK BEFORE YOU RUSH TO ADOPT (I will get on my high horse about that shortly!!!!) THINK OF THE ANIMAL!!!!! There are other dogs available for adoption at Cheshire Dogs Home - but again THINK BEFORE YOU RUSH TO ADOPT - Do you really want a dog or are you doing it for your own EGO????!!! You can help in other ways - by sponsoring a dog through the Dogs Home, become a kennel sponsor, donate food (they do not need any more bedding at present). Cleaning materials are also needed - soap powder, washing up liquid, disinfectant - please HELP THESE PEOPLE DO NOT HINDER THEM - they have a mammoth task ahead - and drones of people turning up at the Dogs Home wanting to adopt a dog IS NOT HELPING we are talking about LIVES - not going to a sweet shop to pick up a packet of sweets!!!!!
