PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A RANT.......YOU CAN IGNORE IT IF YOU LIKE Just getting ready to go vote, run some errands, and finish painting the foolish book drop return box. Someone got a rusted out box four years ago and said she would paint it. She has not touched it in all that time. There is a group trying to beautify the town hall. They put in a whole new kitchen. Planted shrubs, put out a planter. So, as nothing has been done to the eyesore of a box, I said I would paint it. Purchased the paint, primer, all that good stuff and have put in about twelve hours of work. This same person walked by me sanding old paint and rust off. She said I wasnt sanding it right. Nothing else. Last night she calls me and literally yells at me that I must stop immediately. No one gave me permission. The truth is someone in authority did. I am tired of people who dont do what they say they will and then get angry when someone steps up to do it. I was in the middle of making my dinner when she called.......result upset stomach, and dried out leathery fresh tuna steak. So off I go on a beautiful sunny day. A day I had looked forward to as a day for me to spend alone and do what I wanted....like sit under the umbrella and knit a sweater for my new grandson. I have allowed this self-centered, sour person to take away my joy. Well, guess what......joy can be found in odd places like finishing the job and enjoying it. So there. THANKS FOR LETTING ME RANT.
