PLEASE READ AND SHARE! For those of you who see my social media, you can tell that Oliver is very special to me. A huge part of that reason is because of where he came from. Oliver came from a special needs school in West Chester that takes care of children of all ages. They introduce Animal Therapy to the kids and it really makes them happy. Today, I got an email from the Director of the Animal Therapy program asking for help. She explained that most of the children there do not have a home to go to for the holidays, as most are in foster care because they had to be removed from their homes due to abuse/neglect issues, which is absolutely heartbreaking. She was hoping that she could make the holidays really happy for the kids since the school is all they have, and also try to raise money (via holiday bazaar) for “The Zoo” to help keep the Animal Therapy program implemented in the school. I know a lot of you are huge animal lovers, and we all have a special place in our heart for kids, two of the most innocent beings on Earth. I am writing this in hopes that you all can help me in helping her bring the kids (and animals) the kind of Christmas they deserve. Please help me in gathering donations for the items below: --Any type of Christmas or holiday decoration: lights, garland, window decorations, etc. Indoor or outdoor work (The kids would like to decorate the farmhouse for the holidays as well as the buildings in the school) --Crafts --Holiday bedding for the animals (old Christmas dish towels work) --Special treats for the animals the kids could give to them as gifts (they have ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, cats, horses, sheep, goat, turtles, a tortoise, fish) --Holiday Bazaar items (gently used) they can sell to raise money including: toys, books, stuffed animals, movies, hats, gloves, scarves, crafts, board games and new personal care items (soap, hair brushes, etc.) As you can see they really can use ANYTHING. And as always, the animals could use help too. If you could help out it would be greatly appreciated!!! The deadline is December 2nd. I know it’s super close so anything anyone could do would be amazing and I know the kids would be so excited. I can pick up around Northeast Philly or Rockledge and Delaware County (this Sunday or next Saturday), or you can drop it off in my driveway at any time (inbox for address). Please email me at brittanylowell@gmail if you have any questions. **Also – if you would like to “adopt” a child for their “Operation Santa” please email or inbox me and I will give you the director Erin’s information. So many of their children could use a special Angel this holiday season! ** Thank you all. It really means a lot that you even read all of this!!
