PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING OR COMMENTING ON OUR PAGE Stop Animal Cruelty in Hot Spring County is NOT an animal Shelter. We do not work for or at the Malvern Animal Shelter. We do not put dogs to sleep. We are not a rescue but we are an investigative humane society, we answer calls of cruelty and neglect. The hot line number is (501) 276-7570 We can help rehome animals that you have found or have been dumped on you but most of time we cannot take the animal ourselves. We offer low cost spay/neuter vouchers to help pet owners get their animals spay/neutered. We work with the Malvern Shelter, we take pictures of the animals there, post them on this page and try to find them forever homes. We also do all the adoptions for the shelter. Adoption fees for the animals adopted from the shelter are $85 this includes the animals spay/neuter, rabies shots, 5way shots and heartworm test. Price is adjusted if animal is already altered or if to young for rabies shot and heartworm test. This fee only reimburses our group for what we have to pay for the vetting done on the animal. Whatever is posted about the animal is all we know about that animal. Most of the animals are picked up as strays so we have no history on them like we dont know if they are housebroke, we dont know how they get along with other dogs or cats or kids. We can only tell if they appear friendly or if they have any physical problems. The hold time for dogs picked up as strays by the shelter is 5 days, we did not make this policy. The Malvern Shelter is a city shelter and we have no say so on the 5 day time. Cats have a much shorter time since there is no leash laws in the city on cats they are only picked up when someone complains they are a nuisance Owner surrendered animals have less time, since they are not subject to the stray hold The best thing you can do to help us help these animals on death row is to share with everyone you are friends with on face book unless of course, you are interested in adopting the animal. We normally do not put animals from the shelter into foster homes vs them being adopted because our foster homes are full and are few and far between. They are certain instances when we do need foster homes for these and other animals. If we agree to help you place an animal that you have there are certain requirements that you will have to agree to before we can help. You can message us regarding that. Please do not post any animals on our page without our prior consent. And also if we do agree to help with your animal you have to understand that the shelter animals always receive first priority and that we will post yours in the order they are received. Stop Animal Cruelty in Hot Spring County is a all volunteer humane society. We also need more volunteers to help with all the endeavors that we have going on. We need foster homes, help with getting the building that was donated to our group in Malvern cleaned up and ready for the Resale Shop and Resource Center it will be made into. We also always need transporters for the animals going other places and help moving things such as picking up donations for the resale shop. So, please contact us either by messaging this page, or calling our hotline (501) 276-7570 or Mary Ann (501) 276-2385. Anyone who continues to slam our group OR slam the Malvern Shelter after reading this post will be banned from this page. Also, all animals that are picked up as stray by the Malvern Shelter are posted on Arkansas Lost and Found Pet Network and other found pet pages.
