PLEASE READ: In 1999, a jury in Memphis Tennessee was presented with overwhelming evidence that named the U.S. government as part of a conspiracy to assassinate Martin Luther King. This case was brought before the court by the family of the late Dr. King. The jury ruled in their favor, declaring that government agencies and others participated in activities that violated Martin Luther Kings civil rights, and played a significant role in his murder. This landmark case went ignored by the mainstream media, which is very odd in a country where the victim of the case has been posthumously celebrated as a civil rights icon, and our media regularly covers any trial involving a celebrity as though it were the fall of all humanity. Unfortunately, the lack of media coverage means that most Americans are unaware it happened...however, it is a matter of public record. globalresearch.ca/court-decision-u-s-government-agencies-found-guilty-in-martin-luther-kings-assassination/5320024 Martin Luther King and his family were being heavily monitored by the FBI right up until his assassination. These records remain in the possession of the FBI, and are to remain sealed until 2027; however, it is widely believed that many of them have been or will be destroyed prior to this date. Now that Martin Luther King is long dead, he poses no threat to the government and we are allowed to perceive him as a champion for civil rights. But lets not forget the injustice that took place behind the scenes, and still remains largely unacknowledged to this day. Statement by Martin Luther Kings son Dexter Scott King in 1999: “We can say that because of the evidence and information obtained in Memphis we believe that this case is over. This is a period in the chapter. We constantly hear reports, which trouble me, that this verdict creates more questions than answers. That is totally false. Anyone who sat in on almost four weeks of testimony, with over seventy witnesses, credible witnesses I might add, from several judges to other very credible witnesses, would know that the truth is here.” “The question now is, “What will you do with that?” We as a family have done our part. We have carried this mantle for as long as we can carry it. We know what happened. It is on public record. The transcripts will be available; we will make them available on the Web at some point. Any serious researcher who wants to know what happened can find out.”
