******PLEASE READ!!!!****Ok, I have let this go on long enough. I made a post a few weeks ago about people taking advantage of the elderly. I was trying to do the right thing and give the company the benefit of the doubt to make things right. However, it is now going on 2 months later, and they still havent done what they were paid for. So here it goes...a company named Summer Services were contacted by Casey Elliott to do some yard clean up for my Mother. A man named Seth Daech came out to our home, walked around the yard with my mom, was as sweet as sweet can be...they discussed what SHE wanted to be done. Seth then gave my mom a written estimate of what would be completed (picture to follow) and quoted her $300 and you will see in the picture what is was to include. With my mom being on a fixed income, my brother decided to pay for it as a late Mothers day gift to her. With my dad being sick for the past 5 years, it is difficult to keep up on yard work! He was scheduled to come to my mothers home the day after Memorial Day to do this work. It was hot as heck and I could tell from the get go...he was upset because people that were scheduled to work didnt show up. So they had been there a few hours and Seth asked to talk to my mom. He told her that one of his tools had quit working and he needed half of the money to go get the part to fix it. Being the kind hearted person my mom is, she gave it to him $150. So then him and his brother left and were gone for quite some time, but they did come back. The day goes on...and barely any work got done. I had to leave for a few minutes and I left my children with my mom. As soon as I left, Seth came to the door and told my mom that they would be back tomorrow to finish because his lawn mower quit working and he was also suppose to plant something and he forgot to bring it. Then he also proceeds to tell my mom that he made so many trips to the dump that he needed $80 more. She was busy with the kids and figured everything was done except what he said and she went ahead and paid him the other $150 in cash and wrote a check for $80 to him. (her not thinking that someone would take advantage of her and she is 69 years old...so she trusts everyone!) Well Wednesday comes and no Seth...Thursday....nope didnt come by or call...I messaged this business on Facebook...still no response...It wasnt until I left a voicemail for him that I got a response back. So Seth sends this David Hurley kid over to our house. David proceeds to tell us that this is unacceptable and he will make things right. He spent over an hour there with us. I told David that I had contacted a lawyer but that I was allowing them to make things right before I proceeded. He assured me that he would be back. Well since then, no more contact has been made. Nothing at all! They have never bothered to come back and finish what they were paid to do. Im telling all of you this story in hopes that you will pass along the message to NOT USE SUMMER SERVICES at all! Anyone that would take advantage of an elderly woman is a piece of dirt in my eyes!!!! I have pictures of my mothers yard after they did the work. I am not home, but I will post them and the estimate when I get home. Please, Please, Please share this with all of your friends. All I want is for the work to be done! If they do choose to come forward and completed the work, I will take this post down and if the work is good, praise them for the their work....until then....I will continue to tell every person I know to NOT do business with them!! word of mouth is the fastest way news travels!! I dont think they thought I would do anything about this and just sit back...but NO ONE takes advantage of my mom!! Feel free to share with your friends!!! Thanks for reading!
