Wilkes-Barre City Police Department Information BURGLARY 8/13/2014 TIME: 1530 LOCATION: 300 block N MAIN ST PERSONS INVOLVED: Victim - 84 year old female W-B INCIDENT DETAILS: Victim stated she answered a knock at the front door. The unknown suspect at the door described as white male older approximately 5-6 170Lbs wearing a base ball cap white shirt, sunglasses and a 2 way radio hanging from his neck . The victim stated the suspect had bad teeth. The suspect stated he was from the water company and was checking for dirty water. The victim and the suspect went to the kitchen and were talking and running the water to see if it was clean. The victim stated she did not lock the door when she went into the kitchen with the suspect. The victim was told the suspect was working down the street and if she needed anything to seek him out. After a short time the suspect then left the residence walking north on N Main St. The victim then went up stairs and found a second suspect had stolen the victim’s jewelry from a upstairs bedroom during the time the she was talking to the first suspect. Investigation is continuing.
