PLEASE SAVE TATE. Many of you will remember this gorgeous boy. He was the first dog I fostered earlier this year.. He had a horrific life and humans have let him down badly. Wonderful chained dog rescued him. He was a few days away from dying from a blocked bowel, emaciated , neglected and living in conditions that were beyond appalling. We took him on for a few weeks but our hedge fencing was not suitable to contain Tate.. whenever I left the property he would do what it took to get out to find me.. we tried everything we could at the time to keep him safe but it was becoming dangerous for him. Sadly we had to give him up to find another foster.. Tate left his mark on us.. being the most gentle, smoochie, kind hearted animal after such abuse. I thought he had found a wonderful home but 3 days ago I heard he was at the kennels and had been there for some time again.. He had 3 days to find a place to go or his time in this life was up. The distress I felt at hearing this was instant.. . I immediately rang around to get information , at the same time Taryn txt me to ask if I would consider taking him for a few weeks. I had already decided....Yes of course! I picked him up yesterday morning.. the tears that flowed when I first saw him did not stop for awhile. He was agitated , stressed, anxious and had lost a lot of weight again. Tate has no ability to cope with other animals so surrounded at a kennel by dogs was not helpful for him. However we have had him home for over 24 hours now.. Today he lay by my feet in the office all day (snoring) He has played with all the new toys and eaten all the squeaky bits! Eaten the nose of the soft toy dog. He sits and waits for his food.. Lets me take it away, place my hand in his bowl while eating. He loves nothing more than a good tummy scratch.. He slept all night on my legs on my bed! He lets me know when he wants to go outside to the toilet. As soon as my boys sit on the floor he goes to them and plonks his gorgeous head on their legs for a cuddle. He appears relaxed and very chilled out today.. I have had two men arrive yesterday with a big kennel and run that Chained dog organised for me while I am out to keep him safe.. He went straight to them wagging his tail to say hi.. no fear, not timid or frightened. Tate is a beautiful soul with the saddest eyes.. his life has been hard.. very hard. All he needs is a good person to show him endless love, be there for him, not let him down. Be prepared to put 100% effort in to help with his training.Understand he has had a rough life but he is a wonderful companion.. His dog aggression is not good at all but it can be managed with the right help which will be provided. He will be getting loads of help from wonderful people that care what happens to him. You will be supported the whole way.. Please I beg you to consider opening your safe home for this beautiful man. He only has till the 23rd December Please x
