***PLEASE SHARE*** ***AMAZING STORY*** **DOGS IN NEED OF FOREVER HOME** This has been the best Friday Ive had in awhile! Both of these handsome guys got to go into foster homes today! First is Ben, who came in with a horrible break in his left front leg. Unfortunately, it is not repairable, so it will have to be amputated. Ben has been waiting so patiently for a foster to come forward for him, and today he finally got to leave the shelter! Next is Bobby, a sweet 7 year old hound who was found as a stray, blind in his left eye. After our amazing volunteer/vet tech Heather Adams discovered a possible infection in his eye, we arranged for Andersons Corner Animal Hospital to take a look at it. After an evaluation on Wednesday, Dr. Murphie decided it was best to remove the eye, preventing Bobby from having any further pain or discomfort. While I was on the radio this morning with Neal Steele and Reese Williams, I put out a plea for a foster home for Bobby to recover from his surgery. At 11am today, I received a phone call at the shelter from a passionate woman who heard Bobbys story on the radio. She was scanning through the stations trying to find one with a clear signal when she heard my plea. God loves the beautiful creatures that He created and that was evident today. This woman had never listened to that radio station before. She was just simply looking for one without static. God works in mysterious and miraculous ways. And it resulted in one happy day for Bobby. Its days like this that remind me why I fight for the voiceless. As for Ben and Bobby, I wish you lots of peace and rest as you recover.
