PLEASE, SHARE ! ARTISTS AND CREATIV PEOPLE WANTED!!! We have some exciting news to share with the creative community. Green Cross is organizing the first ever Recycled Street/Beach Art Competition. Teams of 1-5 people will be given until The Christmas and New Year Countdown Festival 2014 to build a Trash Bin Sculpture out of recycled materials found around the island. During the holiday Countdown festival all of the sculptures will be brought over to Haad Rin where tourists and locals will be able to vote for their favorite piece. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive cash prizes and all of the art will be distributed to special locations around the island to spread awareness about the need of keeping the island clean! The conditions of the Competition: 1) Teams of 1-5 members 2) Use only recycled materials 3) Must include a trash bin receptacle of 36x45cm 4) Include the Phrase Locals Care about a Clean Koh Phangan in the sculpture. We are just beginning the first stages of organizing this project and could use the help of interested volunteers who have experience and/or passion for art and the environment.
