PLEASE SHARE LAYLA – THE NEW GIRL IN OUR PROFILE PICTURE!! Layla is an 18 month old Pittie who was chained 24/7 to a porch until a couple of weeks ago. Gordy and Friends has helped her. G & F is a group of community volunteers near Rochester, NY who find chained, outdoor dogs who need warmth, food, treats and love and do what they can to help. Layla was in extreme pain due to abscess and a double ear infection that went on for who knows how long. Her family ended up moving and dumping her at a sister’s house. Layla and the sister’s dog didn’t do well together…Layla was injured and nobody treated her wounds. She ended up spending a week at the vet getting well and then getting spayed. At this point, Layla needs to be an only dog. She is wonderful with people including kids….she lived with 3 children that she loved. She is very sweet and friendly to the volunteers who went to see her from Gordy and Friends. She is up to date on vaccinations. She still needs some work with house training. Her former family said that they had recently allowed her to start coming in at night where she slept in a crate. Gordy & Friends would be very appreciative if a rescue can help since they are only an outreach group. But if anyone is interested in her and would be willing to fill out an application, submit references, and have a home check, they can place her as well. They strongly recommend someone who has experience with pit bulls and please respond ONLY IF she will be an indoor dog in your home. Time is of the essence for Layla – please share!!
